Zamri was asked about his client’s reaction upon hearing that opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had been found guilty of sodomising him.
"Saiful was thankful to God.
"This case was based on the police report he made in June 2008 and nothing has changed or been added on since then.
"He has waited seven years for justice," said Zamri.
He added that Saiful would be posting a statement on his blog soon, adding that he will also have to take instructions from his client about his suit against Anwar at the civil court.
The case is set for case management next month.
Zamri added that Anwar has been ordered to file his amended statement of defence to the court by February 23.
The Federal Court found Anwar guilty of sodomising Saiful at a condominium unit at Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, on June 26, 2008.
The apex court also upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal which had sentenced the opposition leader to five years' jail.
Anwar will serve out his sentence at the Sungai Buloh prison.
