
"I have informed the police, after Jokowi's (Indonesian President Joko Widodo) visit, I will have time. Maybe I will be a little free next week… what day I am not sure… the police need to have free time as well and I also need to be free," he told reporters after launching the Farmers' Market Price Drop Sales programme in Kuala Lumpur today.
On Monday, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar stated on his Twitter account that the police would call Ismail to get his explanation regarding the issue.
Ismail urged consumers who were predominantly Malays to boycott businesses that were mostly controlled by the Chinese on Facebook.
But he said that was intended for all consumers and businesses irrespective of race, adding that the businessmen he meant were those who refused to lower prices of goods even though fuel prices had gone down.
